The Allett Cambridge 35 is the battery equivalent of the Kensington 14B: a 14β€³ self-propelled cordless cylinder mower that gives a small-to-medium lawn a clean, close, striped cut β€” quietly, on 40V battery, with the full Rapid Change cartridge system behind it. Light, cable-free, and simple to use.

Why you'll love it

  • A true cylinder finish β€” a 6-blade cutting cylinder at 78 clips per metre for the close, crisp stripe a rotary can't match.
  • Quiet, cordless power β€” 40V lithium-ion, push-button start, no petrol and no cable to drag.
  • One machine, a whole lawn-care system β€” takes every RC35 Rapid Change cartridge: scarify, verticut, dethatch, aerate, brush.
  • Rapid cartridge change β€” no belts or side cover to remove; one screw each side of the cylinder and you're swapped over.
  • Stepless height of cut β€” dial anywhere from 6 mm to 32 mm, shown in millimetres.
  • Light and easy to handle β€” at ~38 kg it's simple to push, turn and store.

Is the Cambridge 35 right for you?

  • Choose the Cambridge 35 if you have a small-to-medium lawn (up to ~350 mΒ²) and want the quiet of battery plus the full cartridge cultivation system.
  • Consider the Cambridge 43 instead if your lawn is larger β€” it's the 17β€³ model in the same battery range.
  • Consider the Kensington 14 instead if you'd rather have petrol power for the same 14β€³ cut and cartridge system.
  • Consider the Liberty 35 instead if you want the simplest, lightest way into cylinder mowing and don't need the full cartridge system.

What you need to start

This listing is the mower only. The Cambridge 35 runs on the 40V Greenworks battery platform, so to mow you'll also add a compatible 40V Greenworks battery and a charger (they interchange with other Greenworks 40V tools). Add all three before checkout so it arrives ready to run β€” or skip the guesswork with the Complete Bundle, which includes them for $4,399.99.

FAQ

  • Is it powerful enough for my lawn? Yes β€” it's built for small-to-medium lawns up to ~350 mΒ², with about 30–40 minutes of mowing per charge.
  • Which battery do I need? A 40V Greenworks battery and charger (add both above). We can help if you're unsure.
  • Will my old QC cartridges fit? Yes, with a QC2RC conversion kit β€” one per cartridge. If you're starting fresh, buy RC35 cartridges directly.
  • How does it compare to the Kensington 14? Same 14β€³ cut and cartridge system β€” the Cambridge 35 is the quiet battery version, the Kensington 14 is petrol.
