One all-in price — everything included. Grinding, the prepaid shipping label to send your cartridge to us, and secure return shipping. No surprises. Just pick your reel size — it fits any Allett cartridge generation (QC, RC or UC).

Bearings inspected with every grind — replaced if needed, or on request, for $20.

How it works

  1. Order your grind — choose your reel size below.
  2. We email you a prepaid shipping label with simple packing instructions.
  3. Send in your cartridge — securely packaged for transit.
  4. We precision-grind the cylinder and bottom blade to cutting-edge condition — and inspect the bearings while we're in there.
  5. It comes back ready to cut — securely packaged, return shipping included.

Never miss a mow

The smartest way to use this service: own two cylinders. Add a 10-Blade Cutting Cylinder and keep mowing on it while your original is away being ground. You get a finer cut from the 10-blade, a freshly ground original as your backup — two sharp cylinders, zero downtime, forever.

Only have one cylinder? Time your grind for early spring or late fall, when your lawn can wait — or add the second cylinder and never wait at all.

Sports clubs & commercial reels

We also grind larger and professional reels — up to 34" — for sports clubs, groundskeepers and commercial operators (Allett C-series and sports range). Sizing, logistics and pricing are quoted individually: contact us with your machine and reel details.

Eligibility

  • Allett cutting cylinder cartridges of any generation — Quick Change (QC), Rapid Change (RC) or Ultra Change (UC) — in 14", 17" and 20".
  • That covers the Kensington, Liberty 43, Cambridge, Stirling and Classic ranges. Only the reel size matters.
  • You ship the complete cartridge; we grind the cylinder and set it to the bottom blade.
