The RC51V is the Rapid Change Verticut Cartridge designed for the Allett Kensington 20 cylinder mower. It is also compatible with the Allett Stirling 51 with a UC to RC adaptor.
The RC51V replaces the discontinued QC20V and features Allett's Rapid Change system — swap cartridges in seconds without tools.
What does verticutting do?
Thin, closely spaced blades slice vertically through the turf to lift lateral growth, remove light thatch, and encourage upright grass before mowing. The result is a cleaner cut, improved cylinder contact, and stronger growth over time.
The benefits of regular verticutting:
- Lifts flat-lying grass for a closer, more consistent cylinder cut
- Removes light thatch buildup between seasonal scarifications
- Encourages tillering and denser turf over time
- Picks up weed grasses and seed heads without chemicals
- Can be used every two to three weeks from April through September
Generally, the verticut cartridge removes twice as much material as a scarifier cartridge, making it ideal for regular maintenance rather than deep renovation.
